Social Media Experimentation

I have heard a lot of people say that social media is a trial and error game or an experiment that businesses should try out just to see what happens. While it might be nice to think that making mistakes has no consequences, in reality, businesses don’t have that luxury. Every failure can reflect poorly on a brand.
Cutting edge fields offer high-risk high-reward potential to businesses, and social media is no exception. Failure in the social media space poses serious risk to established brands. Consumers expect any corporate initiative to be well-designed, executed and maintained. Just like you can’t sit a few people in front of a few phones and call it customer service, you can’t expect an ad-hoc social media initiative to return any significant, sustainable gains.

I wanted to capture the full flavor of the boroughs in one project. The only way to do this would be to eat at all the restaurants in the city that people liked to call their favorites.
